Not terrible – but not all that great either.

Rated: 14A

Starring: Christopher Plummer in the Kevin Spacey role, Michelle Williams in a strange accent, Mark Wahlberg in a seersucker suit

Plot: Based on the true story of 16-year-old John Paul Getty’s kidnapping while in Rome – and his mother’s desperate attempts to persuade her billionaire father-in-law to pay his ransom.

Tanya’s Verdict: The movie started off okay – but suddenly became incredibly dull; Perhaps because there didn’t seem to be any stand-out characters or maybe because the plot was ultimately predictable. I spent the final 40 minutes of this movie looking at my watch and daydreaming. I won’t go so far as saying All the Money in the World is terrible – but there’s no need to pay top dollar to see this one at the theatre. Just be patient and wait for it to come out on cable.
