An inside look at Val Kilmer – and a pretty good one at that.

Tanya’s Score: Good*

Rated: PG-13

Starring: Ice man

Plot: A documentary comprised of 40 years of footage featuring actor Val Kilmer and his day-to-day life.

Tanya’s Verdict: I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I’ve never considered myself a huge fan of Val Kilmer – but this doc provided an inside look at him as an actor, husband and father and I really enjoyed it.

The footage is all his – he clearly loves recording his friends and his family and in the end – it has paid off for him. Because this documentary is a sometimes sad, sometimes uplifting, poignant collection that allows viewers to connect with him and his life.

I recommend this film to anyone – whether or not you like Val Kilmer, whether or not you enjoy his films, whether or not you even know who he is.
