Tanya’s Score: Good-and-a-half*
Rated: 14A
Starring: the Sacred Deer kid; the Quicksilver kid; the Glee kid; Aunt Lydia
Plot: A true story revolving around four university students planning a brazen art heist.
Tanya’s Verdict: This movie was extremely interesting and entertaining – not necessarily because of the plot: an art heist – it’s been done before. The way this movie is constructed is what entertains, tests boundaries and in the end enthrals – at least for me.
As the plot unfolds, segments featuring the real people involved in the situation are shown – explaining their thoughts, questioning another person’s perspective, adding essential details – creating a unique and well-rounded storyline.
This movie has flown under the radar. It was suggested to me – that had the actors involved been bigger names, the movie would have definitely gotten more buzz than it has. I have to agree.
*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
I enjoyed this movie as well.It is not filmed in the conventional way and I feel will not appeal to mainstream movie watchers! However,if you are willing to venture outside the box ,you won’t be diappointed by this entertaining ,unassuming movie.
