Butterflies and dead children – what dreams are made of.

Rated: PG-13

Starring: Funky-eyed Kate Bosworth, haggard and hairy Thomas Jane and cute-as-a-button Canadian Jacob Tremblay.

Plot: Little Cody has a special talent – what he dreams comes to life. At first this proves to be a dream come true to his new foster parents. They are still reeling from the tragic death of their young son and after Cody sees his photo, he begins to dream about the dead child. But just as the many foster parents before them, they soon realize this power of Cody’s is more of a curse than a blessing.

Tanya’s Verdict: Lame story and even lamer acting – but this horror-lite movie may be perfect for teens and pre-teens planning their slumber parties. There are a few frightening scenes as well as several jump scares – but otherwise, pretty harmless when it comes to horror movies. Personally, I prefer more substance and this seemingly made-for-tv movie just didn’t cut it for me!
