Plot: A look at the legendary rock band Queen and lead singer Freddie Mercury (Rami Malek) and their journey toward fame.
Tanya’s Verdict: This movie was good from beginning to end. Malek as Mercury was compelling to watch both as he performed for an audience and as he interacted with his bandmates, friends and family. Mercury’s eccentricities as a musician and as a person in general came through loud and clear – as well as his musical genius, forward thinking and interest in engaging his audience. Watching the iconic songs of Queen come together in this film gave me literal goosebumps. The PG rating kept the movie pretty sanitized – perfect for family viewing.
