Tanya’s Score: Sh**-and-a-half*
Rated: 14A
Starring: the former Mrs. Cruise
Plot: A little boy befriends a creepy, life-like doll named Brahms.
Tanya’s Verdict: I can forgive a lot when it comes to horror movies – if they’re over the top; if they’re extremely gory; if they’re unbelievable; even if they’re silly – but one cardinal sin I cannot overlook is – WHEN THEY’RE BORING.
Plus, I have a couple of questions: Is this a sequel? It seems like it may be based on the title but I have never heard of Brahms: The Boy I – and frankly, I have no desire to look it up. I think I’ll just pretend that neither movie actually exists. My second question: what little boy would name his doll Brahms?
This is what happens when you give your 14-year-old carte blanche to pick a movie to watch for her birthday.
I’ve seen better episodes of The Haunting Hour.
