Suspenseful and entertaining – not a bad way to spend 90 minutes.

Rated: 14A

Starring: pretty much only Ryan Reynolds

Plot: Paul Conroy (Reynolds) is a civilian truck driver working in Iraq. The movie begins with him waking up in a wooden coffin presumably buried underground following a terrorist attack. With a spotty cellphone at his disposal – he struggles to make his whereabouts known in order to stay alive.

Tanya’s Verdict: Watching this low-budget thriller is not a bad way to spend 90 minutes. I first saw this film in the theatre and now re-watching it with my kids, it is just as suspenseful and edge-of-your-seat as I remember. Although, there is some harsh language and a few scenes of realistic violence – not to mention the all-around scary concept of being buried alive – I probably should have encouraged my seven-year-old to watch the hockey game instead!
