I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful film.

Rated: PG

Starring: the voices of a brat named Benjamin and a jungle mozart named Gael

Plot: A talented young musician defies his family’s musical ban and enters the Land of the Dead where he seeks the help of his great great grandfather’s spirit.

Tanya’s Verdict: Not only was this film beautiful to watch but I was pleasantly surprised by the storyline as well as the unforeseen plot twists. I’m sure given a year, I will not remember much of this movie’s detail though it’s still pretty good for a kid flick. It brought a tear to my eye more than once with it’s running themes of the importance of family and being true to oneself. While both my girls enjoyed it as well, my seven-year-old son was a bit bored and complained it ran too long at 105 minutes.
