Give this one a pass

Tanya’s Score: Sh**

Rated: PG

Starring: Sell-out Sandler et al . . .

Plot: Dracula (Adam Sandler), his family and all his pals decide to embark on a change of scenery by going on a cruise – and romance is in the air.

Tanya’s Verdict: Anyone else bothered by the creepy relationship Dracula seems to have with his daughter Mavis? Sure – it’s borderline incestuous, and yes Mavis seems to choose her father over her own husband and son – yet this nagging plot element was the only thing holding my interest during this movie. I enjoyed the first instalment of Hotel Transylvania (2012), even the second one (made in 2015) was okay – but in this third one – there is no effort put forth whatsoever. Most of the movie’s action involves characters dancing and/or moving strangely with little else going on. Luckily, the movie theatre I was in had reclining seats so I took a nap and later awoke to discover I had missed nothing plot-wise – so I caught a few more zzzs before the end credits rolled. I highly suggest you give this one a miss – or wait for it to come out on cable.
