Tanya’s Score: Good*
Rated: PG
Starring: the vocal chords of Walter White, ScarJo, a Bad Lieutenant and Bill Murray
Plot: In a futuristic Japan, all dogs have been banished to an island. The story follows a young boy’s journey of befriending a pack of wild dogs in order to find his missing companion.
Tanya’s Verdict: While my entire family watched and enjoyed this movie – keep in mind that it’s not necessarily meant for young kids. Despite being animated and featuring a island full of talking dogs, the story is adult and the plot is complex, making it sometimes difficult for small children (read: me) to always follow.
That said, the storyline is interesting, the animation is well-done and like most Wes Anderson flicks, the outcome is unpredictable.
