Endearing, funny and heartbreaking.

Tanya’s Score: Great*

Rated: 14A

Starring: Ethan “channelling his inner Nick Nolte” Hawke, Rose “please put some lipstick on” Byrne, Chris “always an irresistible dork” O’Dowd

Plot: Through a series of interesting plot twists, a young British woman (Byrne) becomes email pen pals with a former rockstar from the U.S. (Hawke) that her boyfriend (O’Dowd) happens to be obsessed with.

Tanya’s Verdict: I don’t want to give too much away because for me – part of this film’s charm is the unpredictable twists and turns from beginning to end. Just know that it’s endearing, funny and heartbreaking. The characters are also endearing, funny and heartbreaking. The movie focusses on missed opportunities, regrets, second chances and pushing forward. If you want to see a great f***ing movie – then go see Juliet, Naked!
