Lots of CGI, plenty of mayhem – but otherwise a mediocre movie.

Tanya’s Score: in between okay and good*

Rated: 14A

Starring: Opie’s kid, Mouse Rat‘s lead singer, Babe’s owner

Plot: When a volcano erupts on their island, catastrophe looms for the dinos. Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Owen (Chris Pratt) attempt to rescue and relocate them with mayhem and double-crossing ensuing.

Tanya’s Verdict: If you are looking for a summer movie filled with some CGI dinosaurs and a couple of intense scenes – then look no further than Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. If however, you are after a storyline with a bit more meat on its bones and a plot not so character-crammed with convoluted double-crossing occurring at every turn – then steer clear of this one. In my opinion, it’s a notch above mediocre – but my son enjoyed it just fine.
