A bit “lifeless” if you ask me.

Rated: 14A

Starring: my fantasy Eskimo-brothers Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal

Plot: A team of scientists makes the exciting discovery of life on Mars – but things take a dark turn when the rapidly evolving life form proves to be anything but friendly.

Tanya’s Verdict: The movie starts off kinda bland, becomes a bit entertaining around the 30 minute mark when people begin to die and ends with a somewhat deflating twist. All in all – not a bad way to waste 90 minutes during a 16-hour plane ride but definitely nothing special. For anyone in the market for a sci-fi thriller set in space that is also a pretty great movie – I recommend Gravity. For anyone in the market for a drab way to kill 90 minutes, I recommend Life.
