Dull, predictable and nothing special.

Tanya’s Score: Okay-and-a-half*

Rated: G

Starring: The Girl on a train; Hamilton; Paddington

Plot: The delightfully quirky nanny (Emily Blunt) returns to take care of the grown up Banks’ children (Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw) through a particular hardship.

Tanya’s Verdict: Despite having great actors, a beautiful set, vivid colours and music – this movie still fell short – at least for me (and my kids). It was dull. The songs were certainly not catchy, the storyline was nothing special – there was just nothing in this movie that grabbed me. I took a bit of a nap during it – and awoke to an utterly predictable conclusion with the audience around me applauding. I guess my views aren’t shared by all.
