A slow-going film comprised of many sweet moments.

Tanya’s Score: Good*

Rated: PG

Starring: A couple of vaguely familiars

Plot: A Korean family moves to Arkansas in the 1980s and starts a farm.

Tanya’s Verdict: This film is filled with lots of sweet moments despite the fact that it’s slow-going. Steer clear of this one if you prefer your movies to have a lot going on – this one doesn’t have all that much. Actually, it does, but much of it is beneath the surface.

I particularly enjoyed the quirky and believable relationship between the young boy and his grandmother. This is what endeared me to the movie (as well as my crush on actor Steven Yeun).

We started this one for family movie night; then lost first one family member; then a second and finally a third. Just two out of us five finished it to the end. As I said, I quite enjoyed it. But I do realize – not everyone will.
