Still relevant today . . . still holds up.

Tanya’s Score: Good*

Rated: 14A

Starring: Jesus Christ and Ms. Best Actress 2020

Plot: Two FBI agents with varying outlooks and styles – head to Mississippi in 1964 to investigate the mysterious disappearance of several civil rights activists.

Tanya’s Verdict: There is not much dating this movie – as the story is relevant as is the outcome. As a privileged white woman, I assume the racism and hostility in 1964 pretty much mirrors the racism and hostility existing in 2021.

The story within this film is heartbreaking and tragic; the complementary roles of the two agents are interesting and engaging – I say it holds up.

*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
