Slow and creepy – but no finalizing pay-off in the end.

Rated: 14A

Starring: Rachel Weisz (who? don’t worry – you’ll recognize her), Sam Claflin (who? exactly)

Plot: Taking place in old-timey England, Philip (Claflin) is suspicious of his cousin’s widow (Weisz) after his cousin dies under seemingly mysterious circumstances. His convictions become muddled when he meets the widow and begins to fall for her charms.

Tanya’s Verdict: Slow and creepy – I don’t mind this cinematic style so long as there is an entertaining pay-off in the end. IMHO I was left hanging. It’s not a horrible movie by any stretch – but nothing special either.
