This recipe is a hit every single time I make it. The secret is to make a syrup from the sugar and water before adding it to the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
8 c. water
Place sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan; bring it to a boil, stir it up and let it cool down. In a pitcher, stir together syrup, lemon juice and the remaining 7 cups of water. The perfect drink to kick off summer!
