Rated: PG
Starring: an under used Anna Kendrick, an over used Rebel Wilson, a weirdly used John Lithgow
Plot: The acapella group known as the Bellas have seemingly moved on with their lives. But have they really? They reunite for one last competition sponsored by the USO but this time are pitted against musicians who use instruments.
Tanya’s Verdict: If you accidentally fell asleep while reading the plot line from above – then join the club as I took several intermittent naps while watching this snooze fest of a film. Not only is the plot tired and ho hum, but the movie is lazy – stringing together scenes that don’t follow any sort of logical flow and putting characters together with no chemistry whatsoever (there is this strange vibe between Beca (Kendrick) and this weird music producer that makes no sense). Worst of all – the jokes fall flat and the musical scenes are dull. Even my girls were disappointed. If you are thinking of seeing this movie – save yourself some money and stay home to watch paint dry. It’s far more exciting.
