Drugs, murder and mayhem add up to a Rough Night.

Rated: 14A

Starring: Scarjo (Scarlett Johansson), SNL’s current star Kate McKinnon as well as several other hilarious and familiar females (Jillian Bell, Zoe Kravitz, Ilana Glazer).

Plot: What begins as an innocent bachelorette party for Scarlett’s Jess, turns into a zany crime cover-up after a male stripper is accidentally killed.

Tanya’s verdict: The movie has a Bridesmaids meets Weekend at Bernie’s kind of feel with some Broad City thrown in – which makes sense considering two of the film’s cast star in the sitcom and Paul W. Downs had a part in writing both.

There are definitely a few laughs – but all in all – it’s just not as good a movie as The Hangover.
