Tanya’s Score: Okay-and-a-half*
Rated: 14A
Starring: the original Hannibal Lecktor; Jay Sebring
Plot: A father and son coroner team attempt to solve the unexplained death of a mysterious young woman based on the secrets uncovered within her corpse.
Tanya’s Verdict: I found the plot of this movie unique and interesting – so I’ll give it that. And it does indeed start off a bit creepy. However, without giving too much away, I’ll say that as the plot further unfolded, I found myself growing more and more annoyed.
Had I made this film, I would have used flashbacks to tell more of a back story rather than turn this one into a supernatural thriller. I like when things go “bump” in the night – but the things that bumped in this movie bothered me for some reason.
