Sounds religious . . . but it’s not.

Rated: PG

Starring: Ray Donovan’s hot, soon-to-be ex-wife (Naomi Watts), Hank from Breaking Bad (Dean Norris), the Culkin-esque Jaeden Lieberher

Plot: Child prodigy, Henry Carpenter helps his mother navigate single parenthood, looks out for his kid brother while also doing his darnedest to rescue the girl next door from her nefarious step-father. All while keeping meticulous notes in “his book”.

Tanya’s Verdict: The storyline is a tad unusual and definitely unpredictable – there were a few twists I did not see coming. While not the most memorable film, it was still enjoyable for me and the kids. The dark plot elements and occasional bad language enthralled the kids – yet the movie still managed to maintain a somewhat PG feel.
