Tanya’s Score: Good*
Rated: PG
Starring: a couple familiar faces and a bunch of nobodies
Plot: Based on a true story about a group of Inuit teens who turned their lives around after being introduced to the sport of lacrosse by one of their teachers.
Tanya’s Verdict: I may not be a fan of sports or sports-related movies – but I am a sucker for the inspirational based-on-a-true-story type of movie. This one most definitely pulls on the heart strings.
Despite being utterly predictable, there are a few unforeseen twists. Plus the actors are good and the movie is Canadian – two more notches in its favour.
If you’ve seen the movie McFarland (2015) and enjoyed it, then it’s safe to say you will like this one too.
