A bit predictable but still pretty damned entertaining . . .

Rated: R

Starring: A bunch of Aussies no one will recognize.

Plot: A boat capsizes just off of the Great Barrier Reef. Four of the five crew decide to leave the boat and swim to an island they believe is nearby. Numbers begin to dwindle as they are tracked and methodically eliminated by a great white shark.

Tanya’s Verdict: In hindsight, probably not the best movie to let the kids watch before our trip to the Great Barrier Reef – but it is what it is. As for the movie, it’s pretty damned good considering there’s not much to the plot, no big celebs in it, and all-around a low-budget production. It’s short and somewhat predictable but if you’re in the market for a bit of mindless (yet intense) entertainment that will get your blood pumping – this is it.
