Tanya’s Score: Okay*
Rated: 14A
Starring: Joe Dirt; a prison guard; several Sandler relatives
Plot: A man (David Spade) thinks he’s inviting his dream girl (Molly Sims) on a weekend work retreat to Hawaii when in reality, he’s mistakenly texted a woman (Lauren Lapkus) he went on one nightmarish blind date with three months earlier.
Tanya’s Verdict: Here’s the stone cold truth – The Wrong Missy is predictable and only mildly amusing here and there. If you were to give this one a pass, you honestly wouldn’t be missing much.
However, it’s not all bad – it’s been one of the better comedies I’ve seen come out of Adam Sandler’s production company in the last little while (which is pretty disheartening). All in all, not a completely horrific little time-waster.
*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
