Tanya’s Verdict: If you think a movie that centres around the grisly death of a teenager can’t be laugh-out-loud funny, then you’d be wrong. This wild card of a film never heads where you are thinking it will and the characters are unpredictable. Add to this, a fascinating storyline and spot-on acting – and you have yourself a powerful movie. Rockwell especially carries this film with his excellent portrayal of a slightly dim-witted and remarkably angry police officer. Perhaps he will finally receive some Oscar love? “Anger begets anger” is a running theme throughout – but so are compassion and human kindness. In my opinion – an amazing movie that I would gladly pay to watch again.
