Almost 30 years old – but still delightful.

Rated: R

Starring: a still-cute Meg Ryan and a still-not-cute Billy Crystal

Plot: This movie follows the on-again/off-again friendship of title characters Harry Burns (Crystal) and Sally Allbright (Ryan) as they try to navigate a platonic relationship with one another.

Tanya’s Verdict: No question – this movie comes off as slightly dated (after all – it is almost 30 years old!) but it still holds up in terms of its entertainment value. I still laughed, I still got teary, I still enjoyed it. The dialogue remains sharp and amusing, the characters continue to be flawed and hilarious and the movie maintains its captivating quirkiness.
