Most likely critically acclaimed by 12 and 13-year-olds around the globe.

Rated: MA

Starring: “the sexy psycho” Bella Thorne, “the clueless innocent” Halston Sage, “the horny idiot” Taylor John Smith.

Plot: Tyler (Smith) and Ali (Sage) are the all-American high school couple. That is until they get into a tiff during a party after Tyler shows his jealous side. Holly (Thorne) is there to pick up Tyler’s pieces and the two enjoy a passionate romp together. The next day, Tyler and Ali patch things up but when Holly shows up unexpectedly as a new student at their school – Tyler soon realizes his entanglement with her is far from over.

Tanya’s Verdict: This Netflix original film is Fatal Attraction lite – perfect for the teen set. It is light on the sex, swearing and gore – but there is still enough to keep the kids happy. As an adult, I found the movie tolerable (though barely) and utterly predictable. But it hit its mark with my daughters – who found it perfectly entertaining and creepy. Looking back, it’s probably on par with 90s thrillers The Hand That Rocks The Cradle and Single White Female – both of which I loved at the time, but shudder at the idea of re-watching. And FYI – Taylor John Smith is as bland in looks and talent as his name suggests.
