These bagels are comprised of 4 main ingredients. Honestly – if I hadn’t already made them (several times) I wouldn’t have believed it possible. They are easy to throw together and delicious! Don’t believe me – then try them for yourself? Originally posted on Skinnytaste, my friend Colleen was the one who sent the recipe my way. Enjoy.
Ingredients:
1 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 c. plain Greek yogurt
1 egg
toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic, onion flakes, cinnamon etc.
Heat oven to 375F and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Spray with oil to prevent sticking.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Then add in yogurt and mix with a spoon until the mixture resembles crumbs.
Sprinkle flour on your work top and then take the sticky dough and knead about 15-20 times. Then divide the dough into 4 equal balls.
Using flour as needed, shape the balls into small ropes and then loop into a bagel. Then brush egg over top of each and sprinkle with whatever topping you desire or leave plain.
Bake for 25 minutes – and let cool before slicing.
