Plot: A terminally ill woman (Susan Sarandon) organizes one last get together for her entire family before her imminent death.
Tanya’s Score: This one is a remake of a Danish film called Silent Heart (2014) and I can only hope that the original movie is more inspired than this one.
While seemingly, it has all the necessities for a good movie – a dying individual, an uptight control freak (Kate Winslet), a bore (Rainn Wilson), a rebel (Mia Wasikowska) – for whatever reason, it’s dull. I felt no emotional connection to anything going on and could have easily had this on in the background while ironing and wouldn’t have missed a thing.
