It has something to offer to the morbidly curious.

Tanya’s Score: Okay-and-a-half*

Rated: PG-13

Starring: former water park employees; former water park guests

Plot: A documentary focussing on Action Park – a New Jersey waterpark notorious for its thrills, dangerous activities and flouting of child safety laws.

Tanya’s Verdict: As a person who is always morbidly curious, this documentary had something to offer to me – flimsy as it was. Listening to former water park employees and guests alike wax nostalgic over legendary Action Park was entertaining in the moment – though to be perfectly honest – nothing all that special.

One story does stand out. I won’t give it away but it involves the lackadaisical design of a loop-de-loop water slide and the sharp dangers involving teeth embedded in its lining.

Kind of like an amusement park ride – this doc had me interested in the moment – but afterward it was out of my head and I moved on.

*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
