Plot: An alien-fighting soldier (Tom Cruise) relives the same day – which begins again after he dies.
Tanya’s Verdict: It took me a while to see this one and here’s why: the title sounds like a run-of-the-mill action/suspense/drama kind of film; throw in the fact that it revolves around aliens and soldiers and my eyes glaze over. Then there’s the Groundhog Day premise – nothing we haven’t seen before.
But once I got over all these factors, even I have to admit – this isn’t a bad little movie. A good pick for Family Movie Night.
