Long and dull.

Tanya’s Score: Okay*

Rated: PG-13

Starring: Eleven; Superman; Bellatrix

Plot: When the mother (Helena Bonham Carter) of Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) goes missing, she relies on her detective skills to outwit her world-famous brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and get to the bottom of the mystery.

Tanya’s Verdict: I thought this would be good family fare and on par with the likes of the vintage hit The Journey of Natty Gann (1985). But instead it ran way too long and somehow came off as dull and at times even outright boring when it really had no reason to.

I can’t quite put my finger on what went wrong – but then again – I’m no super sleuth. Choose another one for family movie night . . . maybe even The Journey of Natty Gann.

*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
