Plot: A terminally ill man (Tom Hanks) agrees to throw himself into a volcano to help out an island tribe but his journey there hits some unexpected snags.
Tanya’s Verdict: For a quirky comedy from 1990, Joe Versus the Volcano isn’t half-bad. Many of the scenes are long – a beat too long in my personal opinion – but that’s coming from 2020. Otherwise, the storyline is intriguing, the plot twists are unforeseen and my kids and I all enjoyed it.
