Surprisingly (to me) compelling.

Tanya’s Score: Good*

Rated: 14A

Starring: the late, great Joker; Alexander Supertramp; and so many other recognizable faces

Plot: This movie follows a niche group of 1970s skateboarders who changed the face of skateboarding in California.

Tanya’s Verdict: Despite this movie having a low budget, gritty documentary quality with its (at times) shaky acting, I have to admit that I found the entire movie compelling to watch. By no means am I into the whole skateboarding scene – which goes to show you that director Catherine Hardwicke did something right on behalf of her audience.

Kids liked it too.
