Plot: A petty thief (Jake Gyllenhaal) turns to the world of crime journalism to make a fast buck – and soon starts to blur the ethics between reporting news and making news.
Tanya’s Verdict: This is one underrated movie. Gyllenhaal is excellent as the slimy and slightly off Louis Bloom who doesn’t seem to have compassion or empathy let alone emotional responses whatsoever.
Nightcrawler is one of those movies with a plot about a subject that most people don’t waste a second thought on – and is an absolutely compelling and edge-of-your-seat thriller.
