Tanya’s Score: Sh**-and-a-half*

Plot: I’m still trying to figure it out.
Tanya’s Verdict: The first 10 minutes of this movie weren’t bad – sort of an origin story with puppy Scooby first meeting youngster Shaggy. But then it went off the rails – something about a robot dog and Simon Cowell and Scooby as the key to unlock some mystical land of treasure from ancient Egyptian times.
Honestly – I couldn’t make heads nor tails of it and so just sat there with glazed eyes, biting back my sarcastic comments because I didn’t want to cloud my son’s judgment. When it was over – he declared it “Pretty good” – and that is the ONLY reason this movie gets an extra “half” in my score.
