Plot: The gang is tasked with saving Coolsville from a bunch of monsters unleashed by a mysterious masked villain.
Tanya’s Verdict: This movie is ridiculous. Rather than taking these characters and making them their own, the actors instead just spend the entire 90 minutes mimicking the animated versions – which gets annoying pretty fast. I would much rather watch an original episode of the show than this full length feature.
Plus the movie’s low budget comes across loud and clear with the silly effects and the creepy-ass mutant that is Scooby-Doo.
I spent this movie biting my tongue to avoid saying something sarcastic that would ruin it for my son – who was watching it for the second time and quite enjoying it. I had been hoping to watch the newly released Scoob instead – but “somebody” refused to spring for the $25 price of admission.
