So low-key I almost fell asleep.

Tanya’s Score: Okay*

Rated: PG

Starring: The Sundance Kid; Carrie; Ben’s baby bro

Plot: A true story about bank robber Forrest Tucker (Robert Redford) and his daring jail breaks and bank heists well into his golden years.

Tanya’s Verdict: Old people are not all boring – but this movie does nothing to prove this theory of mine. Everything in The Old Man & The Gun is quiet and dull and so very low-key that my eyes are drooping as I even think about it. And the music? It’s borderline lullaby – I’m NOT kidding.

But the absolute most annoying thing about this movie? At the very end, when Tucker’s various jail breaks are depicted in sequential order, the dates don’t add up to the age he was supposed to be at the time. What kind of Mickey Mouse operation are they running?!

*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
