I hate watched this one til the very bitter end.

Tanya’s Score: Sh**

Rated: 14A

Starring: the former Ms. UFO; the former Mr. Arquette; a former Lost Boy

Plot: A husband and wife (Thomas Jane; Anne Heche) will stop at nothing to learn what has become of their 10-year-old daughter after she goes missing during a family camping trip.

Tanya’s Verdict: This movie is laughable despite the fact it’s billed as a drama/mystery. From the low-budget sets to the horrendous soundtrack to the poor acting (the actors’ various reactions to the situation at hand were just straight up weird) – this movie went downhill for me from the get-go.

And that’s not all, the script these actors were working with was atrocious. Here’s an unintentionally hilarious example: after finding fertility drugs in a young couple’s medicine cabinet, Heche’s character confronts them by saying “I saw the IVF in your medicine cabinet.” Wait – what? Does the writer not realize there’s a difference between bottles of medicine and IVF which is an actual medical procedure!?

I truly had my fingers crossed for Peter Facinelli – that after having quietly faded away as an actor he was about to make a comeback as a writer/director – but nope. (He appears in the movie in a small role – which is one of the better acted parts).

Anyway, this movie goes from bad to worse in record time – but I hate-watched it til the very bitter end. I do have one positive thing to say about it though – I’m happy to report that Jason Patric is still quite easy on the eyes.

*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
