Weird and unbalanced. But seemingly a good one for kids.

Tanya’s Score: Okay-and-a-half*

Rated: PG

Starring: a feline David Brent; a babysitting SNL alum; a Canadian songstress

Plot: Four siblings conspire to send their mean and self-centred parents out of the country because they are convinced their lives would be better as orphans.

Tanya’s Verdict: While the animation of this Netflix movie reminded me of Despicable Me, the wonky and unbalanced storyline just wasn’t as compelling in my personal opinion. I found the entire movie just plain strange – kind of like what I imagine a drug trip must feel like.

That said – it may just be one of those movies perfect for kids and not really meant for adults. My 10-year-old son was smiling and laughing throughout and seemed to really enjoy it.
