Better than I expected.

Tanya’s Score: Good*

Rated: 14A

Starring: Everybody . . . even Tyler Perry.

Plot: An interesting look at Dick Cheney (Christian Bale) – his life and the quiet yet masterful power he brandished as Vice President to George W. Bush (Sam Rockwell).

Tanya’s Verdict: This was the final movie I needed to see in order to complete my viewing of all the films nominated for this year’s Best Picture category. And I’ll admit – I wasn’t optimistic. Political movies have a way of confusing the sh** out of me.

And maybe this was why I was pleasantly surprised. While Vice IS a political movie, it’s also the story of one man and his specific role as leader of the U.S. It also happens to be creative in terms of its storytelling – thanks to Adam McKay and his interesting ideas as well as unique methods in unrolling a narrative.

Not to mention that all the actors involved poured their hearts into their respective roles – and it showed.

*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
