A timeless film I will happily watch again – anytime.

Tanya’s Score: Good-and-a-half*

Rated: PG

Starring: Edward Scissorhands; Jack Dawson

Plot: A year in the life of Gilbert (Johnny Depp) as he cares for his mentally delayed brother (Leonard DiCaprio), helps his morbidly obese mother (Darlene Cates) and tries to find meaning and happiness in his own life.

Tanya’s Verdict: My daughter asked me if I had watched this movie (I had – once in the theatre and again years later) and would I watch it with her again. Of course.

A movie like this one is timeless and with each re-watch you will find something about it you hadn’t noticed before. It’s plot seems a simple one at first glance but don’t let that fool you – it runs deep. And the cast is comprised of strong supporting characters that feel authentic to the story.

I will gladly watch this movie again – anytime.
