Plot: A teenager (Christina Applegate) has to care for her four siblings when their mother (Concetta Tomei) leaves for Australia and the babysitter (Eda Reiss Merin) she has hired drops dead.
Tanya’s Verdict: As far as babysitting movies go (also babysitting movies starring Keith Coogan), Adventures in Babysitting is better than this one. First off, my kids (and me) assumed this would be more about a dead babysitter than about a teenager fraudulently landing a job in the fashion industry.
Whatever the case – it wasn’t awful. But it definitely wasn’t anything to write home about either.
