Long, predictable and too by the book in my opinion.

Tanya’s Score: Okay-and-a-half*

Rated: 14A

Starring: the guy from Split; Molly; Stefon

Plot: Pennywise the murderous clown is back up to his old tricks – 27 years later – and the kids from the Losers Club need to hightail it back to Derry to quell its evil once and for all.

Tanya’s Verdict: This movie is long. Like almost three hours long. And it is so predictably mapped out that the three hours do not fly by. Each character has x, y and z occur to him or her – one at a time – until the movie ends. And it concludes exactly how you think it will.

I’m assuming since Stephen King had a bit role in this movie – that he’s happy with it. I have to give him credit – he writes a great story. But he needs to leave the movie-making with the successful movie makers – who know how to take a writer’s words and transform them accordingly – not literally.

I liked Part One much better.
