Forgettable but forgivable because Timothée Chalamet is hot.

Tanya’s Score: Okay-and-a-half*

Rated: R (for drug use)

Starring: A Beautiful Boy

Plot: In 1991, a teenaged boy (Timothée Chalamet) spends a summer in Cape Cod where he falls in love and gets involved in a drug ring.

Tanya’s Verdict: My one daughter has a crush on someone with the initials T.C. so she found this movie on Netflix and convinced me to watch. It started off okay – with some retro music, an interesting narration and some funny cut-aways. But then, the story turned heavy, the narration was all but forgotten and the funny cut-aways were a thing of the past.

Long story short, I found it a bit melodramatic and over the top. Also utterly forgettable and nothing special. Thank goodness T.C. is not only easy on the eyes – but also a pretty good actor.

*Four score descriptions: Sh**; Okay; Good; Great
